Pistachio and almond gelato on brioche |
No, that’s not a delicious tuna fish sandwich!
It’s the
common way to serve gelato in Sicily…. on brioche! At first glimpse, I wasn't sure what to expect of gelato on bread. I figured it would ruin the sweetness and each
bite would taste warm and soggy. Just as I predicted, it's a genius combination that put me into a sugary sweet gelato coma. The Sicilian’s got it right. The
two components complimented each other and I started to wonder why I never
thought of this before. My gelato needs brioche from now on, or I will feel
naked without it! Like peanut butter and jelly. I can’t stress it enough, get on a plane to Sicily and try this phenomenon. NOW!!! It will change your
life, and make you a better person.
